Pointe-Claire is a suburb located on the Island of Montreal, in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is situated on the shores of Lake Saint-Louis and has a population of approximately 32,000 people. The town is named after the Pointe-Claire village, which was settled in 1713 by French immigrants.
Pointe-Claire has a diverse economy with a mix of residential areas, commercial zones, and industrial parks. The town is home to several large businesses, including the headquarters of Air Canada, the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel, and the Fairview Pointe-Claire shopping mall.
The town has a strong commitment to preserving its natural environment, and as such, it offers numerous parks and green spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy. Pointe-Claire has over 20 parks and three nature parks, including Terra-Cotta Natural Park, which offers hiking trails, a marsh, and a bird-watching tower. Pointe-Claire is well-connected to the rest of Montreal via public transportation, including buses and trains. The town is served by several elementary and secondary schools, including French and English-language schools and private schools. The town offers a range of recreational facilities and programs, including sports leagues, fitness classes, and community events. In the summer, the town hosts the Pointe-Claire Artisan Show and the Lakeshore Street Fair, which features live music and food from local restaurants. In the winter, the town has a public outdoor skating rink and offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in local parks.

Both Autoroute 20 and Autoroute 40 cross Pointe-Claire from east to west, both with intersections at Boulevard Saint-Jean and Boulevard Des Sources, the major north-south roads in the city. Parallel along Autoroute 20 are the Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Railway lines.
Pointe-Claire is served by three stations on Exo's Vaudreuil–Hudson line: Pointe-Claire station located at Donegani Avenue and Ashgrove Avenue, Valois station located at Avenue De-la-Baie-de-Valois (Valois Bay) and Donegani Avenue, and Cedar Park station also located on Donegani Avenue between Applebee Avenue and Aurora Avenue.[36] The city is also served by several bus routes operated by Société de transport de Montréal with a major terminal located at Fairview Pointe-Claire.
Starting 2024, Pointe-Claire will be served by two stations on the Réseau express métropolitain rapid transit network: Fairview–Pointe-Claire station on Fairview Avenue, and Des Sources station on Des Sources Boulevard.
Local bus transportation is provided by Société de transport de Montréal.
