Dollard-Des Ormeaux, QC

Dollard-des-Ormeaux is a suburb located on the Island of Montreal, in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is a primarily residential area with a population of approximately 50,000 people. Dollard-des-Ormeaux is named after the French hero, Adam Dollard des Ormeaux, who sacrificed himself and his men in 1660 to prevent the Iroquois from reaching Montreal.

The town has a diverse economy with a mix of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as several major shopping centers. There are also numerous parks and green spaces throughout the town, including Centennial Park, which features a lake, walking paths, and picnic areas.

Dollard-des-Ormeaux is well-connected to the rest of Montreal via public transportation, including buses and trains. The town is served by several elementary and secondary schools, including French and English-language schools and private schools.

The town offers a range of recreational facilities and programs, including sports leagues, fitness classes, and community events. In the summer, the town hosts the Dollard-des-Ormeaux Canada Day celebrations and the Dollard Ribfest, which features live music and food from local restaurants. In the winter, the town has a public outdoor skating rink and offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in local parks.
